"Your Priorities Are Showing is a novel meant to tap you on the shoulder and point out certain things in your life that you might be doing out of order. Out of order according to whose standards? The Almighty God in the King James Bible. The book is written to women in all stages of life from the teenage years up through adulthood, single or married. The world tries so hard to push women into universities, careers, worrying about finding happiness, being independent, and self glorification. What does God's will say for women?

A woman reading this book, no matter what background she's from, will get a transparent explanation of what Christianity is, a clear presentation of the Gospel, and thorough explanations backed by God's Holy Word of what a woman is and what she was created for, therefore outlining what her priorities should be even in this day and time. Biblical womanhood should not be a dying breed. There is freedom in Christianity, check this book out to see how storing up treasures in heaven instead of treasures on earth can change your life."

My thoughts

I was thrilled to read Michelle Taylor's book and from the start, I knew readers were in for a treat. With expectations of a brief inspirational guide for Christian women, I was impressed by the author's clear organization and engaging writing style. Each chapter effortlessly explores the entire scope of this important topic, leaving me hooked and eager to read the entire book in one sitting. As I've shared in my previous posts, I've been on a personal journey to become a better woman of faith.

In a world where conflicting messages about what it means to be a Christian woman abound, I'm always looking to improve myself. What struck me most about this book was its ability to distill the essentials of womanhood, making me realize that I had been overlooking some fundamental aspects of my faith. As I turned the pages, I felt a mix of emotions - relief and guilt. The author's words resonated deeply with me, and it was both liberating and uncomfortable to confront the truth about my own priorities and biases.

Specifically, my view of men was one that needed to shift, and I knew that this was an opportunity for growth. My history with abuse had undoubtedly influenced my perspective, but I recognize the need to reframe my thoughts and move forward. I've always cherished my femininity and I understand the basics of biology. However, I've often felt a lack of honesty in the Christian community, as if women were hesitant to discuss the authentic aspects of being a woman of God.

They often jumped straight into the topic of feminism. But Mrs. Taylor's book courageously addresses this imbalance, delving into the overlooked parts of Christian womanhood, such as submission and calmness. This book's powerful words challenge readers to reexamine their faith and its connection to their values and morals. It prompts a crucial question: are you standing firm in your convictions, or are you compromising to fit in with the world's expectations?

The line between the two is thin, and it's easy to casually cross over into territory you never intended to be in. What I especially enjoyed were the comments on waiting for marriage. It was a powerful message, and I felt a sense of relief while reading. It's disheartening to encounter women who promote self-centeredness and liberation without boundaries. They often advise us to focus solely on ourselves, express ourselves freely, including sexually, and prioritize our desires more than anything else.

This approach is deeply disappointing for me, and I believe it should be for you as well. It's so refreshing to find like-minded women who share my values and uphold a more traditional approach to our existence. While the Bible is always the ultimate source of guidance, it's comforting to know that you're surrounded by people who can support and encourage you on your journey.

This book is a valuable addition to your collection, as it provides a sense of community and solidarity among women who are striving to live out their faith. It's wonderful to see women in our community be shining examples of God's love and guidance, don't you think so? Rather than explaining more details, I encourage you to read the book for yourself and experience the inspiration and motivation it offers.

I'm thankful to have had the chance to read it, even though I'm not yet married and may not have personally experienced all the things discussed. I'm grateful for the opportunity to gain insight and wisdom from a godly woman. This book offered me the support, love, and guidance I needed at that moment, and I'm confident it will be a valuable resource for me in the future. I encourage you to take the leap and read it for yourself. I'm certain you'll find it worthwhile and that you will want to share it with other women in your life.
